Ask, Advise, Refer: Brief Intervention Model
Ask, Advise, Refer (AAR) is the CDC’s evidence-based brief intervention model. This free training will assist providers and professionals in quickly and effectively implementing a dialogue about tobacco use among their patients. Providers will gain information on the integration of the model into existing office routine, patient resources and fax-to-quit referral forms for MQC for Families and the New Jersey Quitline. MQC for Families offers both on-site and online training to those interested in receiving AAR training.
MQC for Families offers free, on-site training to those interested in bringing instructors to their facility. Trainings can be customized to meet each individual organization’s needs and training materials are provided. This one hour training provides the opportunity for 1 Nursing Contact Hour as well as 1 Social Worker or Community Health Worker (CHES) Continuing Education Credit.
To learn more or schedule an on-site training, contact Barbara Heinz at email@example.com.
The AAR webinar is ideal for providers and professionals who are interested in using the model, but lack the time necessary for on-site training. This free, online training provides the opportunity for Nursing Contact Hours. AAR trained offices are eligible to obtain customized fax referral forms for MQC for Families and the New Jersey Quitline.
