AWHONN Road to Recovery: Current Maternal Health Initiatives from the NJDOH
Department of Health members from the Maternal Health Innovation (MHI) team will review the elements of maternal health nationally and in NJ; discuss the disparities seen nationally and locally for Black non-Hispanic women; describe what the NJDOH office of population health is doing via newly legislated NJMMRC, NJMDC and NJMCQC; examine the strategies and priorities of the Maternal Health Innovations (MHI) team and explore how the NJDOH plans to collaborate with various organizations, including AWHONN and other multidisciplinary groups and how nurses can lead the way.
