Camden Healthy Start is dedicated to improving the health of pregnant women, babies and families in Camden City. The program seeks to lower the city's infant mortality rate (consistently double the state and national rates) and address a racial disparity that is revealed in this data. CHS services include one-on-one support, home visiting, family support, health education and help connecting to services and resources in the community.
CHS is open to any woman living in Camden City who:
- is pregnant
- is thinking about pregnancy
- just had a baby
- has a child under age 2
CHS provides free supplemental diapers to families enrolled in the program. Click here to learn about our free diaper program.
Fathers on Track
Fathers on Track, part of the Camden Healthy Start initiative, focuses on the needs and issues facing fathers in Camden City. Fathers on Track provides a forum where fathers help each other build healthy families and stronger relationships. Participants attend regular meetings for parenting education, support, networking and coaching.
