Pregnancy Healthline

The Pregnancy Healthline can help answer your and your pregnant patients’ questions about the risk to the fetus of exposure to potential toxins during pregnancy.

This program is a free confidential phone service staffed by professionals. A perinatal nurse coordinates the Healthline under the direction of an expert panel of maternal fetal medicine specialists.

The Healthline nurse will conduct a telephone interview with your patient to determine the exposure of concern. The interview can also reveal other risks a patients may not realize that are as – if not more dangerous than the toxin that prompted the call.

Following the call, the Healthline nurse conducts a search of available information about the exposure, relays that information to the caller via telephone and letter. In addition, with the patient’s permission, physicians or healthcare providers may receive a copy of the information given to their patient.

The Pregnancy Healthline is an easy way to make certain that all the latest research on the impact of toxins on pregnancy is shared with your patients.

The Healthline is also available to do research for physicians and other healthcare providers on toxins and their potential impact during pregnancy.
