About the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies
The Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Camden City is a consumer driven organization dedicated to improving the health of pregnant women and children in Camden City. Focusing on those at greatest risk, the Coalition offers education, advocacy and individualized case management services as well as specialized outreach and education for fathers and undocumented families.
The Coalition strives to keep families healthy in every sense - connecting pregnant women to needed health and social services, helping fathers take active role in their child's healthy development, and expanding access to child care, immunizations and family counseling. Parent-child relationships are strengthened with family friendly activities and targeted education.
As one of the nation's Healthy Start http://www.healthystartassoc.org grantees, Camden HMHB Coalition is working diligently to reduce the city’s infant mortality rate which is nearly two times the state average.
