Atlantic City Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Coalition

About the program

The Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Atlantic City (HMHB) works to improve birth outcomes for at-risk pregnant women in Atlantic City with group support and pregnancy education.

The program focuses on the unique parenting challenges of women who have already delivered a low birthweight baby and also works to support them in subsequent pregnancies. HMHB also sponsors public events throughout the year to boost community awareness of key pregnancy and parenting issues for Atlantic City families, including child safety, family communication, and access to care. The importance of prenatal care and reproductive health are key messages of the Coalition.

HMHB is guided in its efforts in Atlantic City by a volunteer coalition of community and business leaders, concerned citizens, and local healthcare and social service providers. Coalition members donate their time and expertise to help improve the health and well-being of Atlantic City families.
