Every SNJPC program is consistent with the agencyfs core mission: to improve health care for mothers, children, and families in southern New Jersey.
These programs are created and overseen by maternal and child healthcare professionals, often drawing on the collaborative input of agencies with similar missions. Specific health concerns addressed by current SNJPC programs include: maternal smoking, childhood lead poisoning, parenting skills, perinatal addictions and postpartum depression. The Cooperative also maintains a toll-free healthline that provides women and their physicians with current medical research on risks of exposures during pregnancy.
