Game of Life

The Game of Life is a school-based program designed to improve an adolescent’s decisio- making skills through supervised role play.

Participants in the Game of Life are given a scenario in which an adolescent must face the consequences of a risky decision. The students must seek help for their situation from the array of health and social service agencies present at the Game.

A manual describing how to implement the Game of Life is available from the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative. The manual includes step-by-step instructions along with sample scenario cards, communication tools, sample participation certificates and other items helpful in presenting the Game. Technical assistance is also available from the Perinatal Cooperative.
