This NEW workshop addresses the two most challenging perinatal mental health issues facing MCH providers in South Jersey: perinatal loss and postpartum depression. Intended for those providing care to pregnant women, the program provides a comprehensive overview of the two issues along with practical strategies. Attendees will learn the symptoms of perinatal mood disorders, be able to discuss current research in grief theory and grief support as well as PPD and bereavement support services in the region for patients.

Participants who complete the program will be awarded  3.25 Nursing Contact Hours

The Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative is an Approved Provider of Continuing Nursing Education by NJSNA, an Accredited Approver by The American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (COA). NJSNA Approval Number P106-6/2009-2012.

Approval is pending from the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
