Event Title: Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Workshop
Description: This activity is designed to expand the knowledge of health care practitioners on the current research and effective strategies for caring for infants experiencing Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS). Nurses who complete this workshop will be awarded 3.25 Nursing Contact Hours

Weisman Children's Rehabilitation Center
Marlton, NJ

Cost:
The $35 fee includes contact hours, breakfast and parking. Payment is expected by November 14.

Objectives:
After attending this conference, participants will be able to:
-Identify 3 signs/symptoms associated with NAS during the newborn period.
-Name 2 psychosocial issues that often have an impact on women receiving opiate dependence during pregnancy.
-Discuss appropriate referrals to DCPP for the infant with NAS.

Continuing Education Credit
Nurses: Participants who complete the program will be awarded 3.25 Nursing Contact Hours by the Southern New Jersey Perinatal Cooperative.
